THE SHOW HOSTS:
Robert Galinsky (HOST) is the founder of The New York Reality TV School and has spent his career creating provocative art and entertainment in theater, television and on the internet. The New York Reality TV School has been featured on ABC Nightline News, The VIEW, The Today Show, BBC Television, TV Guide TV, E! Entertainment and internationally in radio, print and TV. Robert is a facilitator and founding member of the We Are Family Foundation’s Three Dot Dash initiative created by Grammy winning producer and musician Nile Rodgers and Robert performs and lectures nationally and internationally. He is the co-creator and co-host of the bi-coastal phenomenon: The Manhattan Monologue Slam and he is also collaborating with writer Greg Kotcher on a Broadway musical.
As an acting coach, Roberts clients include Academy Award Nominee Charles Mack (”August Rush”), Hip Hop artist turned actor 50 Cent and Reality TV star Jorge Bendersky of Animal Planet’s “Groomer Has It” among others. He has worked with actors Quentin Crisp, Willem DeFoe, Roger Guenveur Smith and is a highly sought-after director/producer who recently directed the acclaimed online web series MySpace Rants; and he continues to develop, produce and direct promotions for CBS, VH1, NBC, FOX TV, American Express, MSN and others. Galinsky’s work stems from the place of the heart, whether he is teaching, directing, performing or producing- his vision extends from caring and trusting in people.
Mark Yawitz (West Coast Social Media Jockey) is the co-founder of RealityWanted.com and is a graduate of Arizona State University. Mark’s early career was in sales recruiting and he has now developed a unique tie in with job boards and casting – and this has become his hook. “Recruiters are paid by companies to find talent just like production pays casting to find cast. Having been a consumer of job sites and resume tracking systems it makes perfect sense how I knew and know what to do for casting.” Also Mark continues to bring the technologies created for employers and recruiters into the casting world, with the ground breaking site: RealityWanted.com.
In April of 2000 Mark saw a commercial for casting for Big Brother season 1 and was called to Los Angeles and made it to the semi-finals round of casting. He also applied to Fox’s Boot camp season 1 in 2000, got a callback and didn’t make the cut once again. In July of 2000 he started to grab reality TV headlines and started orwellproject.com – it was simply a listing of reality TV headlines and during this time Mark became fascinated by web traffic, building content, how the web worked. In 2002 casting directors started emailing asking to post open calls on orwellproject.com and in 2003 Mark began to get direct connections to all cable and TV publicity departments and was acquiring reality content, news, and cast interviews. By 2004 Mark partnered with Jason Oropollo and pooled some funds together to start the “Monster dot com” of Reality TV casting and RealityWanted.com was born. Initially it was a stripped down site much like Craig’s List with no social networking but that didn’t last long as RealityWanted has now exploded into a staple for casting and production turning the “monster” into the “Facebook” of reality TV.
Maureen Francisco – (Segment Host): Maureen Francisco sees no limits. She spent five years as a TV reporter and anchor around the country. She then went on to pursue another longtime goal—to break into reality television and game shows by qualifying as a contestant. Finally, in 2007, she cracked the code and became the first contestant on CBS’s Power of 10, hosted by Drew Carey. Soon afterward, she landed on the FOX Reality Channel’s Solitary 3.0. Viewers knew her as #5. Her participation delivered the network’s highest ratings for an original series since its launch in 2005.
Perfectly comfortable before the camera, Maureen frequently appears in TV commercials, which allows her to indulge in her passion for acting. She is simultaneously expanding her range of experience in that field as the CEO and founder of MoProductions, LLC, which gives her creative talents room as host, producer, and writer. In addition, she finished a memoir, Moxie: My Life So Far and is working hard on finding a home for her book. She also volunteers her time as a media director for a non-profit organization, Child United, which helps underprivileged children further their education.
And, now, Maureen is a contributor for RealityWanted.com, and Robert Galinsky’s RealityWanted, where she recaps and offers her predictions for Solitary 4.0.
