Barry Z celebrates his “sweet 16th year”, interviewing everyone from “A-Z” on his hit entertainment broadcast TV show in New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. The show is also seen on the web internationally at
www.barryzshow.com. Before he began producing and hosting “The Barry Z Show”, Barry owned and operated his own comedy club, “Comedy U Grand.” He has since seen many comics who performed at “Comedy U Grand” go on to headline and host their own television shows, like Ray Romano, Brett Butler, Joy Behar, Rita Rudner, Carol Leiffer, and Larry David.
Comedy continues to be a big love of Barry’s and he has continued to support the comedy community on “The Barry Z Show’ by featuring great comedians such as Ray Romano, Joy Behar, Brett Butler, Mario Cantone, Joan Rivers, Jackie Mason, Whoopi Goldberg, Jerry Lewis, Pat Cooper, and numerous other stand-up and well known comedians.
Barry Z has gained respect in New York City by bringing great entertainment to his viewers by previewing movies and shows at their Pre-Broadway and Pre-film release stage. Barry is a lively host and is very particular with the talent he showcases on his show each week. It always has to be top-shelf before he serves it up to his audience.
“The Barry Z Show” has a loyal and growing following who tune in each week to watch interviews with current and rising stars. Barry Z has covered the Tony Awards, Major Film and Independent Screenings, Red Carpet Premieres, Book Signings, Broadway and Off-Broadway, and Readings of future theatrical and film productions.
The list of entertainers that have appeared on “The Barry Z Show” ranges from Kevin Spacey to Kevin Kline, from Liza Minneli to Sarah Jessica Parker, and even Carol Channing to Andrew Lloyd Webber!
This year marks “The Barry Z Show’s sweet 16th star-studded year,” and that’s why every performer begins their interview with, “We love you Barry Z!”

I just heard you interview Sheba Mason. I have seen hr perform may times in the city. At Joe Franklin’s and the Green Lantern. I think she is very funny and her father should be very proud of her. He’s an idiot for not being in her life. She use to waitress and sing at the Stardust Diner and she was great. I use go there just to hear her and haven’t been back there since they let her go.
I also saw her in the King Solomon show during the summer of 2008. She was great. I guess you could call me a “groupie” of hers. I give her a lot of credit for her courage.
Dear Barry:
Congratulations on your new show. You are one of the most enthusiastic and upbeat talk-show hosts, interviewers, and entertainers I know. Good luck!
Warren

I’ve been a fan of the Barry Z show on cable TV for many years, and now I’m even a bigger fan of his weekday radio show on CBS’ “Chat About It.com.”
Barry’s guests are always illuminating: they’re intelligent, entertaining, provocative, and what’s very unusual these days: informative.
Sure, the gossip is fun, but I’m also learning about things, people, history, belief systems, theatre, that I hadn’t known about before.
I hope the Barry Z show gains the truly wide audience it deserves. Way to go, Barry Z.
It was terrific being on your show Sept 9th, Barry. Not only did I enjoyn it, everyone I know of who heard us had only the most positive things to say about ChatAboutIt in general and your show in particular. But the frosting on the cake was the twenty-five percent spike in my book sales right after you interviewed me. Thank you so much
No dead space on the air with Barry…you really know how to keep a show moving.
THANKS Barry for the interview on Friday Sept 25th. I appreciate your fun-loving attitude! I hope you can come to my cd release party on Oct 8 at the Laurie Beechman Theater. NYC..you can see the details on my website.
I totally appreciate you and all that you do for independent artists.
All the best,
YOLANDA!

As sensors keep rolling out in their varied forms and under the power of varied service providers and system owners, there’s this ominous sense that someday soon, we may never be able to go offline again. ,
still allways watch your show…it’s soo much fun!!…remember our dinner at Coldwaters 20 years ago, i was 4 and you were six..we’re both short and cute and funny…gladys (of gladys’s comedy room (now at the comic strip live….
It’s really great to see Barry is still going strong. I have a great picture of Barry & myself along with Michael Ceveris back when he was starring in TOMMY and I was technical director for Michael’s cabaret show. I believe the photo was taken at a BC/EFA benefit. Would love to know how I could email the picture to Barry if anyone knows….?

After listening to your show featuring Starcode I wanted to suggest the Canadian band LOAD. The singer owns the recording studio Starcode recorded at in Winnipeg Canada although she lives in Mexico full time. LOAD is spread across Canada, Mexico and England and features the programming of Jimmy Barr from England’s Portishead…… and their bass player is Rabbi Avraham Gislason, aka Avi-G, a very little known fact.
Check out this amazing video filmed in Mexico and Canada for the song 4 Of You:
